difference is this: the media treatment of it. more after this. energy is being produced to power our lives. while energy development comes with some risk, north america's natural gas producers are committed to safely and responsibly providing generations of cleaner-burning energy for our country, drilling thousands of feet below fresh water sources within self-contained well systems. and, using state-of-the-art monitoring technologies, rigorous practices help ensure our operations arsafe and clean for our communities and the environment. we're america's natural gas. >> we have a good plan, and, great job. >> back in the katrina days and today you hear nothing but good thing about fema. >> president barack obama: i want to thank craig fugate, who lives and breathes this stuff. [applause]. >> neil: you know, i'm hearing all of this glad-handing and back slapping and i have a lot of friends, obviously, family in the metropolitan area around new york, a lot of friends, close ones in staten island and i knew what was going on and i want you to juxtapose these guys high-fiving each other and thi

the doctor-patient relationship. and instead of getting into high gas and energy prices, let's jump start the development of america's vast domestic energy resources. let's build the keystone pipeline. let's expand the exploration and use of natural gas and coal. these are all good ideas that mitt romney supports. the president obama has ignored or rejected. that is disappointing, especially considering how his policies have failed. he promised to listen. he promised us change. but all we have got is more of the same. more spending, more red tape, more debt and decline. a loss of hope. the united states senate, run by the president's party, has not passed a budget in more than 3.5 years. that is irresponsible. and reckless. now the president is demanding another tax increase on small businesses that would destroy more than 700,000 jobs and drive our economy of the fiscal cliff. here in missouri, we count on coal for 82% of our electricity. calldent obama's were on -- war on coal is threatening higher electricity prices for families and job creators. we cannot go on like this. this electio

and tapping into domestic energy resources. i have to tell you the one message that they have been hitting hard in the last final days of this campaign, they have been going after the president on this issue of bipartisanship. mitt romney is making the case that the president has forgotten his mandate to be a uniter in this country. the president said people should be voting because it is the best revenge. mitt romney has been telling crowds all day long that people should be voting out of what they think is best for the country in their heart. so that is the message that they've been delivering all day long. i can also tell you that the front of the campaign plane we have seen a higher number of top campaign advisers flying with the gop nominee including michael levitt who has been leading the readiness project, as they skaul it. i talked to governor levitt for just a few brief moments in iowa and he said what they've been doing is building a ship, he called it, that they hope will set sail and we'll find out whether that will happen on tuesday. >> maybe, maybe not. i want to listen in on

important goals. first, we will achieve north american energy independence by the year 2020. second, we will make sure our students and workers have the skills they need to succeed. third, we will promote trade the works for america and crack down on countries like china when they cheat. fourth, we will cut the deficit from day one and balance our budget within 10 years. and finally, we will champion our small businesses, the engine of job creation in this country. look, i know we face big challenges and we do not need more catch phrases or word games. we do not need more of the same petty partisan attacks. we need a leader, a leader with a real plan that will deliver real results. my opponents have spent much of this campaign talking about small things. but the challenges we face are real and they are big. that is why paul ryan and i are focused on how we can make our way back to prosperity and opportunity, how we can rebuilt a strong military, and fashion a strong economy. the choice before you is clear -- we can wait four more years for real change or we can take things in a new dire

next issue is about energy, and we will start with ursala rozum. governor cuomo must to shut down indian point nuclear power point with supplies about a third of the electricity of new york city. do you support them in that effort? rozum: yes, i do support the governor to close indian point. i hope that he will take up a similar effort to eventually shut down the nuclear power plants along ontario. i think nuclear power, it's an energy source of the past. is expensive. it should not be relying on federal subsidies anymore. the national academy of sciences has said that any level of radiation from a nuclear power plant is dangerous to our health. so we need to be moving forward. the costs of nuclear power are socialized, and the health care costs that we have are people that are exposed to radiation. i do support, i support governor cuomo's efforts and to support a transition to renewable clean energy economy, and save economy that does not rely on fossil fuels or nuclear power. >> moderator: dan maffei, would you support what the governor wants to do by closing indian point? maffe
